Wesmac 46' Research/School Vessel: OSPREY

“Osprey”, a Wesmac 46’ solid fiberglass vessel is USCG certified to carry 38 people. She is powered by a C-15 850 HP Caterpillar engine.
“Osprey” was built for the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine and will be captained by Toby Stephenson who played a big part in her construction. Toby, Warren Kaericher & Corrie Roberts worked closely with Steve and his crew to be sure that controls, safety equipment, and electronics were placed to best suit the vessel’s needs and the needs of her passengers.
“Osprey” is used year round off the Maine Coast as a Marine Biology training and research classroom complete with a hydraulic crane, davit, and all of the necessary equipment for their research.
